Carl Cooper graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1972 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Associate Degree in Architectural Construction. He was employed for 39 years by Sunoco Oil Refinery. For the first 9 years, he worked for Sunoco at the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company in West Africa. His remaining 30 years with the company were at Sunoco Oil Refinery in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, USA. Mr. Cooper's job function during the last 20 years was that of Senior Reliability Engineer for rotating equipment. His extensive experience with seals and sealing materials provided the expertise and motivation required to pursue the "root cause of failure" of existing rubber tree rain guard seals resulting in a USPTO patent for rubber tree rain guard seals that solves their many existing problems. These problems stem from a lack of close attention being given to material technical data sheets and their effect on field results. Mr. Cooper obtained his patent in July 2023 as a dedicated pro se applicant. Dynamic Tapping Shield, LLC will continue its research to further improve the service life and efficiency of their patented DTS rain guard. Tribute also goes to our dedicated field Manager Mr. John E, kolleh, a relentless worker. There is much more to our product than the original patent. Lets talk !
